Students Shine in ICAS Competitions Once Again
The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools
(ICAS) are independent skills-based assessments with a
competition element. The ICAS is unique, being the most
comprehensive generally available suite of academic assessments
and school tests for primary and secondary school students. The
assessments comprise tests in Computer Skills, English, Maths,
Science, Spelling and Writing. Each year, students at Nunawading
Christian College sit for the ICAS and each year we are delighted
with the results our students achieve. The table below outlines
the weighting of awards:

Working Bee Thank You
Thank you to all of our faithful parents who turned up at our working bee last Sunday. There were trees planted, paths swept,
classrooms cleaned, lawns mowed and gardens tended to. By Sunday evening the school was gleaming! This was the last
working bee for 2014 and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents who have helped throughout the year.
ASV Soccer
Competition
Next Wednesday the 29th October a group of primary
students will represent Nunawading Christian College at the
annual ASV soccer tournament. This year the tournament
will be held at Sweeny Reserve in Narre Warren South. The
competition starts at 10.00am and students will return back to
school by normal finish time. Parents and friends are welcome
to come along to support our students.
New Signs
To ensure the safety of our students, new signs have been
erected in the school car park off Central Road. A speed limit
of 20km must be adhered to when driving in the car park. We
often see cars travelling at excessive speeds along the
driveway and car park off Central Road. Please ensure that the
speed limit and all other directional signs are observed at all
times. Thank you.
