I can will what is right, but I cannot do it, For I do
not do the good I want., but the evil I do not want
is what I do.
Romans 7:18-19
W all have moments when we feel like St.
Paul. We make u our minds to do something good, but we end up not doing it, or
worse still, doing something that causes
harm. To do good actions consistently, we
need to be focused, we need to hang around
with people who will support us, and we
need to pray for strength to stay on track.
Think of some times when you lost focus
and did not do the good you intended to do.
How could you change your strategy for
the future? Name one good thing you are
going to do today. What will support your
doing it? What obstacles will you face in
accomplishing the task?
Let us pray
God of righteousness, help me through the power
of the Spirit to do the good you want me to do and
to steer clear of what is not right. Amen

Praying for our Diocese in 2014
We ask you all to pray the Diocesan prayer
in your daily devotions. This week we pray
for the parish community of Keash
Winter times begins today, the last Sunday of
October. In this 'time changing' exercise, daylight hours, already shortening, are
re-arranged to give the brighter hours to the
earlier part of the winter day. Where does
God and prayer feature in a busy day, in a
very full week!
We are praying for our diocese
because we believe that time spent in prayer
opens minds and hearts to the God who
always has time for us, the God who helps us
discover his purpose for our lives, for our
parish and for our diocese.
Pastoral Council
The present Parish Pastoral Council was
formed in 2009. We would like to invite
new members to join the Pastoral Council.
Please contact the Presbytery 094 9860011
The next Pastoral Council meeting will be
held on November 26th in the Presbytery at
7.30pm.
