DIRECTOR’S NOTES
We Need Your Help!
Dear Supporters and Friends,
Thank you for your care and compassion for those who desperately need
the services this ministry provides. Without the Lord leading you
to help us, we would not be able to provide for those needs.
We are running full at both the Men’s Program Division and the
Women’s & Children’s Shelter – 45 at the Men’s Mission and 21
women and children at the Women’s Shelter.
The next 3 months will be critical for the Mission. This month we will
begin our canned food drive. We need to collect enough non-perishable food to
pack over 500 food bags and to serve more meals than usual through the holidays
(we have been serving more than 7,500 meals a month). See inside the
newsletter for how you can help in this area.
We also need to raise enough funds to catch up our bills and meet our
needs for this period of time. We have had a long summer with many extra
expenses. There are so many people in need. However, because of your
compassion, the Lord has blessed this ministry as we continue to serve Him.
We had another New Beginnings graduation for 7 of our
residents. We are reaching many souls for the Lord. We pray that
you will continue to help us reach the least, the last and the lost.
Again, we thank you for your care and compassion. We pray the
Lord will bless you and your family.
Bro. Larry
Saved to serve
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

MINISTRY NOTES
Canned Food Drive
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and
ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
...
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto
you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of
these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:35, 40
It’s time for our annual canned food drive. Much of the food collected will be
used to provide Thanksgiving Food Bags for some of the most impoverished members
of our community. We will also restock our pantry so we can provide emergency food
bags during the rest of the year.
If you or your church, school, civic organization, or business can help, we will
provide promotional materials and grocery bags. Call us at 435-7615 or come by 604
N. Monroe to pick up bags to pack. We will also provide “Feed-A-Family-Of-Four”
cards with suggested food bag contents.
Let’s Feed a Family of Four
4 cans of vegetables
4 cans of meat (tuna, beans, chili, etc.)
4 cans of fruit
4 cans of soup
1 package of pasta, rice, etc.
1 package of dry beans
1 package of cereal or grits
1 box of crackers
1 jar of peanut butter
1 jar of jelly or jam
1 bar of soap
Please deliver food bags and any hygiene items to the Albany Rescue Mission
Office at 604 N. Monroe St., Albany, GA by
Monday, November 24TH , 2014. You may also call 435-7615 to have us pick
up your donation or for more information.
Mission Feeding Program
