Studio Cycle: Indoor cycling classes offer a non -impact, highly
effective way to build cardiovascular strength & endurance. Designed
for all levels, these classes offer a challenging opportunity to get your
heart pumping, burn serious calories & leave you with a feeling of
accomplishment & perhaps a desire to be out on the road.
Cycling Club: There are now two groups, a beginner and intermediate
level. The groups will cycle a loop of on average 30-35 miles
incorporating some of our local hills.
Running Club: Running club meet at the Healthspa reception every
Sunday morning at 9.15am for on average a 4-5mile run in the local
area.
Circuits: A full body workout. This dynamic circuit class uses
cardiovascular and muscular endurance stations. Aimed at Improving
cardiovascular fitness & muscle tone. Get your heart pumping & your
body moving, no coordination required.
Functional Circuits: This circuit style class will use the latest fitness
equipment and bodyweight exercises set out in stations to improve
cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone.
Fitball Abs & Core: A conditioning class using a fitball that focuses on
your core, abs & lower back. This is an excellent toning class which will
also work on balance & posture. Great for trimming the waistline. Suitable for all levels of fitness.
Pilates: These classes are excellent for improving posture, core strength
& aligning the body correctly. Pilates also teaches coordination,
concentration & control of the body. Beginner class also suitable for
level twos.
Yoga: Yoga improves overall strength, flexibility & balance. Helping to
reduce tension & stress in the body whilst improving posture & body
awareness. We have five different styles of yoga, please see our notice
boards for individual descriptions.
Tai Chi: A method of gentle exercise, a mind, body & spirit workout. A
way to improve posture & breathing, an aid to good health.
Weighted Workout: Strengthen & tone your whole body with high
repetitions using pump bars, hand weights, leg weights & your own
body weight.
Freestyle Pump: This class is a toning & conditioning workout class
specifically for those of you who want to add a bit of strength
training to your workout.
Step Conditioning: This high energy aerobic/fat burning workout
incorporates an easy to follow step routine suitable for all levels. This is
followed by power conditioning on the step, with an ab workout to
finish.
Tabata: Tabata is a form of high intensity interval training—20 seconds
of hard work with a 10 second rest, repeated 8 times giving a 4 minute
Tabata set - 1-2 minute rest in between each set. These workouts are
fast-paced, fun and burn up tons of calories!
Aqua: Get fit while toning & shaping your body using the resistance of
water. Our skilled instructors & energising music will provide you with a
great workout, whilst having fun & burning calories. Aqua Aerobics
causes very little stress on the joints compared to other types of
aerobic dance.
Body Conditioning: This class is a high energy cardio workout that's
great for fat burning. It can incorporate steps, hand weights, bands,
bars and your own bodyweight.
PodClub: Our new early risers team workout. Based on the gym floor,
You will be taken through your paces for this 30minute high intensity
cardiovascular workout using the X-Trainers, Wave & step machines.
Cardio Sculpt: A cardiovascular workout using traditional floor
aerobics, combined with strength training exercises giving you a total
body workout.
Monday Blitz: This class is aerobics based using instructed
choreography resulting in a fun, high energy routine, followed by an
abdominal workout ensuring you start your week off on a high.
Legs Bums & Tums: This class is an easy to follow toning and
strengthening class that in particular focuses on all those problem
areas.
Zumba: An exhilarating, effective, easy to follow, Latin inspired,
calorie-burning dance fitness party. Zumba tones the whole body,
increases your heart rate & makes you smile.
Zumba Toning: Combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and
high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a
calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. Learn how to
use lightweight hand weights to enhance rhythm and tone all their
target zones, including arms, abs and thighs.
Zumba Hi/Low: A 45 minute easy-to-follow class that lets you move to
the beat at your own speed. A dance fitness class that provides modified, low-impact moves for active older adults .
BarreConcept: This unique workout combines the elements of pilates,
yoga, resistance training and ballet into a highly effective regime
performed on the mat and at a ballet barre. The technique utilises
the body's own resistance in conjunction with weights, bands and
small balls. The effect is a long, lean dancers body without being a
dancer.
Bokwa: An innovative exercise class inspired by South African dance.
This intense cardiovascular workout strengthens muscles and helps
maintain flexibility getting an effective total body workout. The
routines are fun and easy to follow because the steps are structured
as letters and numbers. Energising music, fun and predictable steps
and great motivation gets you addicted to Bokwa!
Fitsteps: If you love 'Strictly Come Dancing' then you will love Fitsteps.
Professional dancers Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite have teamed up to
produce the first dance fusion class of it's kind. They incorporate the
graceful steps of Ballroom and the up tempo steps of Latin with proven fitness techniques, to develop an easy to follow class capable of
delivering fast fitness results, with a heap of fun thrown in! Just one
session can burn up to a staggering 700 calories. No partner or dance
experience required and there is no step!


For health and safety reasons, admittance to class will not
be permitted 5 minutes after the class start time.

For your own safety please ensure your footwear is
appropriate for the class.

