Good morning, KHS friends and families:
I am not one to respond quickly to rumors but I have had more than one teacher, student and parent
contact me with a rumor. The rumor is that I want to change the mascot name for KHS and even remove
‘Home of the Indians’ from the water tower in Keller. I can say with complete confidence that this is
merely a rumor... and may I say, a very creative one!
I can assure you that I strive to honor the traditions of Keller High School and will continue to put my
efforts in making our students’ high school experience nothing less than exceptional. If you hear of this
rumor from our students, please reassure them that I am tremendously proud to be an Indian!!!
As well, this message is to reassure you that it is merely a rumor. I want to make it clear that there are no
plans to change the Keller HS mascot and it is not part of the bond package. For more information on
