Located on the southern tip of ordinary, Mobile, Alabama is the oft-neglected middle child on the road between New Orleans and the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast. It’s where glitz meets grits and old school joins with new to make this one of the most exciting convention destinations you may not know much about.1 The historic port city was founded by the French in 1702, but would eventually fly under the British, Spanish, American, Alabama, and Confederate flags. These worldly influences can be found in the architecture around the city, as well as in historical landmarks and museums, food and music, and ageold cultures and traditions. 1 Once you’ve arrived in Mobile Bay, you’ll find fantastic downtown accommodations with a southern accent on value, service, and hospitality. The waterfront Arthur R. Outlaw Convention Center, within walking distance to hotels, restaurants, attractions, and shopping, is one of the premiere meeting and exhibition venues of its kind in the country.1 1 2015 Trade Show Schedule You asked! We listened! Based on the much appreciated feedback from exhibitors, the 2014 organizing committee revised the conference schedule in order to minimize downtime for exhibitors and maximize the networking opportunities. The revised schedule was a great success in 2014 and will be continued in 2015. • Presidents’ Reception will be earlier on Sunday evening (5:00 pm–7:00 pm) so you can entertain clients afterwards. • No early morning starts. The trade show will open at 9:00 am each day. • Longer morning and afternoon breaks. • Two lunch breaks on the show floor instead of one. • And no rental fee increases. Exhibit rental fees will remain the same as 2013 and 2014. Arbor Market Introducing Arbor Market .... An Arborists’ One-Stop-Shop for Supplies! An estimate of 500 arborists come to conference for education, networking, and to shop for equipment, services, gear, and supplies for their profession. Southern Chapter ISA delivers these things. However, a comment that frequently appears in post-conference evaluations is there are not enough arborist supply companies. To meet this need of the attendees, Southern Chapter ISA introduces Arbor Market. Located in aisle 400 near the Tree Worker Training Center, the Arbor Market will feature a maximum of eight arborist supply companies. Because space is limited, a special application is required.
