Sacred Heart Catholic Church All Souls’ Day – November 2, 2014 FR. PATRICK REILLEY Sacred Heart Catholic Church 302 South B Street Arkansas City, KS 67005 MASS SCHEDULE Tuesday - Friday 8:00 a.m. Saturday 6:00 p.m. Sunday 9:00 a.m. MISA EN ESPAÑOL Domingo 11:00 a.m. Reflection from the Pastor: This weekend, the Church recalls the Communion of the Saints in two different liturgical celebrations: All Saints and All Souls. The Solemnity of All Saints reminds us of all those men and women who have been faithful to Christ in this life, and now share with Him the joys of Heaven. The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, or All Souls, reminds us of all our friends and family who have died in Christ, and await His Second Coming and the general resurrection of the dead. Throughout the month of November we are encouraged by the Church to visit cemeteries and to pray for those who have died, asking God to purify them of the effects of their sins so that they can enter into the joys of Heaven. Thank you to all who worked so hard on it! In my book, you're all number one!
