Empowerment over Domestic Violence (DV)
DV is a social epidemic that everyone should be committed to
eradicating! Empowerment comes through awareness, education
and prevention. We know that domestic violence is a not a
seasonal issue; it is a serious threat to normal family life and
that’s why we are taking action at St John.
SJBC in partnership with HopeWorks (formerly the DV Center of Howard County)
will be presenting a two part series on DV in November and December to bring
Focus to this very serious issue.
Part 1: Men Focus—A Man’s Role in DV
Sat., Nov. 15th from 10 a.m.—12 noon
**Sun., Nov. 16th is Men's Day and all men of SJBC should be a part of this session.**
Part 2: Women/Family Focus—The Impact of DV on Women and Families
Sat., Dec. 6th from 10 a.m.—12 noon
**All family members should plan to be a part of this culminating event.**
We hope you will participate in these informative and interactive presentations.
