YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE If you want a better understanding of our faith, and a deeper relationship with God, then you should join us for The Bible Timeline Study. The Bible Timeline is a Catholic Bible study that can help anyone to make sense of the bible and experience the lifechanging power of God’s Word. The study takes you on a journey through the entire Bible and brings you deep into each period of salvation history, so that you can discover the amazing story woven throughout all of Scripture. The Bible Timeline has helped hundreds of thousands of people to have a better understand the bible and a deeper relationship with Christ, and it will help you too. The study will include a series of twenty-four videos presented by Jeff Cavins. (Perfect attendance is not necessary.) Each video will be preceded by a lively group discussion. St. Ambrose will begin The Bible Timeline on Thursday, November 6th at 9:30AM and 6:45PM in the Pastoral Center. Sign up forms at each entrance to church. For more information contact Greg Mattingly at 210-2628 or Mary Ann Bray at 465-4049. There are inscribed the names of those from our parish family who have died this past year. Each one of us is invited to add names of our families, friends and loved ones who have died. We will remember them at all the Masses during November. Please note the special Mass scheduled for All Souls day on Monday, November 3rd at 7::00 PM. Program for School Age Children yet to be Baptized We have come to learn that with parishioners who have moved, or for any variety of other reasons, have been unable to obtain the Sacrament of Baptism for their children. We are happy to assist our families to obtain the Sacrament. All children of our Parish who have yet to celebrate their 8th Birthday are welcome to attend a Special Program just for them to prepare them to be Baptized before Advent which begins in late November. Beginning Tuesday, November 18th and running through November 21st, Deacon Bill and Pat Kessler will prepare those school age youngsters attending any school to receive the Sacrament of Baptism. The sessions begin at 4 and run until 5PM in the Pastoral Center right off the Church. Any child above the age of 8, yet to be Baptized, is welcome to prepare for the initiation into our Church as well. We will happily accommodate them as well in a different Program more suited to their age. If you have questions or would like to register, please call Deacon Bill or Cathy at St. Ambrose 466-2921. We donated coats to Oasis Women’s Center, Crisis Food Center, Community Hope Center and Salvation Army The St. Ambrose Parish Office will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. Giving Tree Project Our parish families join together to provide Christmas gifts or personal items needed to area residents who are not as blessed with family and friends as we are. We accomplish this with our Giving Tree Project. A Christmas tree has been decorated in the Parish Lobby. Each decoration has a request for a gift. Families are invited to take ornaments(s) purchase and follow directions on the ornament tag. It is very important for the gifts to be tagged securely with the original ornament identifying the person or (organization) for the place of delivery. If you have any questions please call Debbie or Pat at the Parish Office 466-2921. Volunteer parishioners deliver the gifts to the various agencies providing names. Please call the office if you would like to volunteer to help. This has been a great way for our parish to come together as a community during the season celebrating God’s Gift of His son and to each of us! NO Parish Nurse Office Hours: Tues. They, too, witnessed division, scandal, immorality, persecution and other trials. In response, St. Paul taught the Corinthians about the Church as the Body of Christ, introducing them to the most powerful gift of all: the Eucharist. Join us for First Corinthians: The Church and the Christian Community at St. Ambrose Pastoral Center every Saturday.
