Grace and peace in the name of God our Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ.
We are excited to have Wesley Putnam coming to lead us in a revival November 16-19. Rev. Putnam is a full-time United Methodist
evangelist. He uses drama, story-telling and music in his presentations.
He will have a special story-telling time with the children during Sunday
School and at 5:30 p.m. each evening. In addition to the Sunday morning
services, there will be evening services beginning at 6:30 each day.
We need volunteers to install the new playground this Saturday and
the next Saturday.
My sermon this Sunday is, If You’ve Got It All Under Control,
You’re in Serious Trouble, Joshua 24:1-3a, 14-25.
See You Sunday, Wesley
Rules for Living
Keep Moving
One time I paid a pastoral call on an elderly member, who was extraordinarily healthy and spry. I asked her what her secret was. She said
simply, “Keep moving.”
The health experts are coming to the same conclusion. If you want
to be optimally healthy, you have to keep moving. Walk, run, bend, turn,
stand, work, play, stand—keep moving. Don’t sit down and quit.
That is also true spiritually. We have work to do. We have a world
to transform. We have lives to change. We have Good News to share.
We have the story of a Crucified and Risen Savior to tell. We have love to
give. We have a Lord to serve. We have far too much to do to sit down
and quit.
Jesus was always on the move, going some place. He still is. If we
are to be his disciples, we had better be following him. Keep moving.

as a West Texas cowboy? Come hear
the Master’s Storyteller, Wesley Putnam,
as he brings these ancient characters to life.
** Starting at 5:30 pm BibleQuest:
a fast-paced program designed to make learning
Bible facts and truths exciting for elementary students.
