Window 3 – Establishment of Technology Transfer Offices
For creating robust, sustainable industry-university interaction system, a linking agent or between the two is required. The Academic Innovation
Fund (AIF) Window 3 will finance establishment and operation of small but effective Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) that fulfill this role on a pilot
basis. The project will provide necessary technical assistance during the sub-project implementation

Interested universities submit proposals in
prescribed template. Detailed procedure
of drafting, submission, evaluation,

Proposals from interested universities
will be evaluated by panel of experts.
Based on marks given by panel, final
selection will be made by University

The new Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) Window 4 under the Higher Education and Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) will foster productive
university-industry interaction with an ultimate goal of laying the foundations for building an innovation ecosystem in the country which will lead to
accelerated growth and development.

Evaluation Process: Proposals
will be evaluated by an Innovation
Review Panel (IRP) composed of: (i)
Subject specialist (ii) Representative of
industry, and (iii) Innovation specialist.
Based on the marks given by the IRP,
the UGC Board for AIF (UGCBAIF) shall
make the final selection of proposals
and announce the awards.
