Hi my name is ShaLynn Paradis and this is my second year
with Colinton 4-H Multi-Club.
This year we are lucky to
have 26 members. We have 17
members in beef, eight members in cooking, one member
in sheep, one member in hair
dressing and one member in
leadership.
On Oct. 14, we had our first
meeting where we met all the
new and old members and held
elections. We voted Josh Smith
for president, Brittani Smith is
vice-president, Sara Peterson
is the secretary, Grace Nimco is
our treasurer, ShayLynn Paradis is our club reporter, Karley
Bilsky is our activity coordinator, and John, Sara Peterson
are our historians.
On Oct. 17 during our first
beef meeting at the Husky
building, we discussed what to
look for when choosing our beef
projects, and how to feed and
handle them safely.
On Oct. 25, the beef members
attended the weigh in at Jim
Hunter’s farm.
We weighed in 17 steers, six
heifers and there is one cow/calf
project. They are all great looking projects. Garrett Borle has
three Sheep this year named
Snibler, Bonnie and Bambie,
that are due to lamb in March.
At the cooking meeting, they
made waffles and crepes. Brittani quotes that the crepes were
“A little roll of Heaven.”
Some highlights this year are
Hamels Sausage and beef jerky
fundraiser, which is a great
snack for Christmas! Our club
will be having a Christmas gift
exchange, and collecting for
Santa’s Anonymous, followed
by a potluck snack.
On Dec. 13 we are looking forward to swimming and a communications workshop. This
Jan. 17 we are attending Sherlock Holmes, at the Jubilations
dinner theatre.

Hello! My name is Emma Kaliel, and I’m this year’s club reporter for Double Diamond Multi Club. This is my fifth year with
Double Diamond.
On Oct. 6, we had our very first meeting at Alcomdale Hall and
we elected the executive committee that will work together this
year. Those elected were Lilly Artemenko as president, Bailey
Johnston as vice-president, Brookelyn Felske as secretary, and
Makayla Chamzuk as treasurer. Our leader this year is, once
again, the wonderful Anna Meakin. This year, our club is offering projects such as horse, beef, canine, vet science, Lego, small
engines and scrapbooking.
The horse project started on Oct. 19 with a measuring day,
while the canine and scrapbooking projects both started on Oct.
25 although at different locations! On Nov. 2, the beef members
held our weigh day and also invited along any other members for
the judging of prospect steers and bred heifers.
Our second meeting was held the next day, Nov. 3 at Alcomdale
Hall, once again, at 7 p.m.
