Veterans Visitation Program
The Commandant’s Corner
The Nursing Home
Visitation Program
continues to grow
and improve. We
are
currently
visiting 14 different
facilities. Since July
st
the 1 we have
made 36 separate
visits. Our fellow Veterans look forward to each visit. In some cases we are
the only visitors these Veterans receive. Please come out and join us as your
time and schedule permit. It’s a very rewarding experience for all involved.

Day

Marines,
It’s been a busy time since I last addressed the
Bulldog. The guys in the Detachment have been
working hard. I appreciate all the hard work, time,
skills and money that our Members have and are
giving. The Department Quarterly Meeting at Post
15 went well. The Detachment had a great turn
out. The nursing home visits are going strong with
again a good turnout of the Members. Also, we
are really making a difference in our community
and to the kids in the school programs we are
working on. The National Convention in Charleston was a huge success. I
can’t say enough about the guys who gave toward that effort. I’m really
proud to be a Member and Brother to you men and women. We have Toys
for Needy coming up and Mike, Debbie and Family will again do a super job
with that. We are putting the final touches on plans for the Detachment’s
Marine Corps Birthday Celebration. I also hope you are making plans to
attend the Department Convention in May at Mineral Wells headed up by
our Detachment. Bud has been on top of that and I’m sure it will be another
great time for all. Continue to recruit and join us at the Detachment
Meetings.
Semper Fi,
Commandant Jim Furr.

living and the dead. Welcome Home Brothers.
