Named Official Supplier
Prince George, BC – The Prince George
Construction Association has been named
the newest Official Supplier for the 2015

Through the development of the 2015 Canada Winter Games Outdoor Ice Oval Enhancement Project, presented by the Prince George Construction Association, a
legacy facility will be built that will provide long-term operational efficiencies
and support future event-hosting opportunities.
“We are proud of the partnership with the Prince George Construction Association as it represents the true spirit of the 2015 Games,” says Stuart Ballantyne,
CEO of the 2015 Canada Winter Games. “Providing meaningful legacies for the
region is one of the 2015 Games’ seven pillars and we are grateful for the commitment, dedication and support of the Prince George Construction Association.”
“On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Prince George Construction Association, we are pleased that we were able to partner with the 2015 Canada Winter
Games and to be able to build the 2015 Games Outdoor Ice Oval Enhancement
Legacy Project,” says Mike Fawcett, Chair of the Prince George Construction

Member Firms who have come together to make this project a reality.”
“It is exciting for our Association to undertake this Project and build a facility
that will enhance the ability of the community to attract additional events to our
City,” says Rosalind Thorn, President, PGCA. “Through generous donations of
time, services and funding from Member Firms and Friends of the Association,
the Ice Oval Society will find numerous efficiencies in their ongoing maintenance
of the Oval.”
“The Prince George Construction Association provides a valuable service to our
community, promoting construction investment opportunities and lobbying for
increased safety in the industry,” says Mayor Shari Green of Prince George.
“PGCA’s continued commitment to this region is further evidenced by their involvement with the 2015 Canada Winter Games as an Official Supplier. Welcome to the team.”
Construction began early October 2014 and is scheduled for completion
December 2014.
