Our new recycling shed is now open
for business! Behind Door #1 is newspaper, magazines, phone books and
bagged shredded paper. Please put the
newspaper in the garbage cans. Behind Door #2 is cardboard. Please flatten boxes for space savings and ease
for volunteers. Also small food boxes need to be
bagged. Behind Door #3 is tin and aluminum cans.
Again all items need to be bagged.
We have recycled over 250,000 pounds since we began
this program several years ago. Our program keeps
growing and we need eight more volunteers with trucks
or trailer. This is only one time a month. Please call
Cindy at 217-3283 if you can help. Many hands will
lighten the recycling load.
Although we are still landscaping around the
new parking lot to the east of the church, we
can use it now.
This parking lot is for handicapped parking only.
There are 15 handicapped spaces and a space for the
bus to park after passengers are dropped off. PLEASE
do not park anywhere off the pavement. The driveway
into the lot is one way only with a counter clockwise
flow (follow the yellow arrows). Due to security reasons the doors on the east side of the church will not be
unlocked for daily Mass but only for weekend & holiday (i.e. Christmas) Masses and a few other major celebrations (i.e. Holy Week).
Remembrance Service
For those mourning the loss of a loved one, and to support those who mourn.

Please join our Holy Spirit School students, faculty, staff and parents as we celebrate the liturgy each Friday morning. Mass is in the
Holy Family Chapel and begins at 8:30 a.m. Our students enjoy
seeing parishioners!
Our middle school, grades 6-8, offer smaller class sizes offering
more opportunities for students to interact with the teachers. We
offer academically challenging classes, daily religion lessons,
art, music, Spanish and PE classes every week and weekly Mass.
Our middle school students also have the chance to run for student council and be involved in planning service projects and
social activities. For extra-curricular activities we offer cross
country, football, boys and girls basketball, volleyball and track.
We have active scouting groups as well. If you are looking for a
more close knit environment for your middle school student,
come check us out. Your child can join us for a day to get a feel
for the classes offered. Give us a call!
Holy Spirit Catholic School saves Campbell labels for
Education and Box Tops for Education. These programs help our teachers get valuable supplies for their
classrooms. If you have any labels you would like to donate,
please drop them in the collection basket and we will
collect them. Thank you for your support of these
programs.
The next school Mass at the parish is scheduled for November 16 at the 8:30 Mass. School families will be serving coffee and rolls that Sunday as well.

Choir Practice: Music practice most Wednesdays, in the
church. Come in by way of the shrine door ~ follow the
sidewalk to the right around the side of the church. All are
welcome to join in the leading of music ~ all voices and most
instruments are welcome! We specialize in developing young
cantors to lead the music at the psalm ~ come join us!
Liturgical Tidbits: All Saints: Next week is the last Sunday
of the church's liturgical year. This is a feast that celebrates
the reign of the King whose kingdom we have been proclaiming all these ordinary Sundays: "Christ, yesterday and today,
the beginning and the end ..." The following Sunday we will
enter into the first Sunday of the new church year. In combination with the Feasts of All Souls and All Saints, this feast
makes the statement that we make each Sunday at the conclusion of the Eucharistic Prayer. It is through Him and in Him
and with Him in union with the Holy Spirit that all glory and
honor belongs to our God forever and ever. Amen. As we
conclude the year we once more affirm in faith that Jesus, the
King of glory and the Lord of all, will come again and will
rule to the ends of the earth. As we begin the new year of
waiting for his return we make a commitment to once again
work for the establishment of the kingdom that has been proclaimed in our midst.
