The FCPS Parent Resource Center Fairfax County Public Schools Department of Communications and Community Outreach 2334 Gallows Road, Room 105, Dunn Loring, VA 22027, 703‐204‐3941 FCPS PRC Speech‐Language Pathologist List 2014‐ 2015 The FCPS Tutor and Speech‐Language Pathologist lists contain the names of current FCPS employees who meet the guidelines and requirements to be included on the lists and submitted a complete application to the PRC to offer their services to parents. These instructors are private, independent contractors who provide instructional services to the public for a fee. They may not provide these services during FCPS hours or on FCPS property (unless they have paid the appropriate rental fees). Parents are not required to retain any of these instructors, and students do not need to use their services in order to succeed at FCPS. Parents who wish to retain one of these instructors should make arrangements directly with the tutor or clinician, because FCPS is not responsible for these arrangements. FCPS cannot guarantee the instructors’ licensure status, content of their private tutoring/clinician services, suitability for a particular child, or costs. Neither the PRC nor anyone else at FCPS will make recommendations about the relative merits of the instructors. Claims or concerns about instruction provided through these private arrangements should be raised directly with the tutor or clinician, not FCPS. 1. The list is a resource offered by the PRC, but parents are responsible for contacting and working directly with the tutors. 2. Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) employees may tutor or provide private instruction to FCPS students but may not, under any circumstances, tutor or instruct their own students for private compensation. Please see Regulation 4705. If you are a current FCPS speech‐language pathologist and would like to have your name added to this list, please review the guidelines to determine if you meet the requirements. If you are eligible, complete the application and review the regulations on our web site. Contact Chena Lefort with questions [email protected].
