Program Calendar

DECEMBER 2014
Program Calendar
For 20 years, providing
professional programs
of emotional support,
education and hope for
people impacted by
cancer, at no charge,
so that no one faces
cancer alone.
As we get closer to the end of the year, many of us tend to turn inward and reflect on what
has happened over the past 12 months and what we are thankful for. Gratitude has become
a popular topic as a way to improve our mental state and wellbeing. “Studies show that we
can deliberately cultivate gratitude, and can increase our well-being and happiness by doing
so. In addition, grateful thinking–and especially expression of it to others–is associated with
increased levels of energy, optimism, and empathy.” - Psychology Today
One way to keep the gratitude flowing is by starting a “Gratitude Journal” in which you
can list things throughout the week that you are thankful for. It may not seem like a big step;
but changing your thinking habits to focus on the positive, even for a few minutes out of the
day, can work wonders for your outlook on life.

charge for our services, we rely solely on donations
and fundraising to support the community. We have
received overwhelming feedback from the community
that fundraisers should be publicized more to give
everyone the opportunity to participate.
We will list upcoming events in this section and please
feel free to reach out if you have any interest in attending.
These events are NOT part of our program of free support
so we want to make sure you are aware this section only

The workshop/seminar presents the concept of using spiritual gifts and laughing with oneself, frequently overlooked
in the healing process. It is a different interpretation of
the serenity prayer using prosperity and abundance as
emotional themes. Dr. Kaye has laughed her way through
extreme trauma whilst still paying attention to the required
footwork. She is a Storyteller, Addictionist, Thanatologist,
Care-sharer,veteran radio talk show host, Interfaith Minister,
author, columnist, keynote speaker/trainer for corporations.
Her work is ecletic and appropriate for all professions,
Veterans Administration, and many others, believing in
the power of the human spirit. Call 215-879-7733 to
