Art Exhibition Space in Torquay The Torquay Lions Village has opened its Community Centre for exhibitions of local artists’ paintings. According to Lions Village Torquay Chairman Phillip Newson, opening the Village Community Centre for the display of local art serves at least two purposes. “First. it provides an opportunity for local artists to have their paintings displayed to the public as they are on display seven days a week. focus on parenting styles, communication, respect and gaining insight into the issues of today such as the

meaningful communication and interaction? How do you better equip yourselves and your children to manage

Rosewall “Going Potty” Festival, March 7th, 2015
Rosewall “Going Potty” Festival is a one day family event that has been held at Rosewall
Neighbourhood Centre, in March, since 2004. The aim of the festival is to provide a day of fun,
creativity and participation for local residents of all ages. It has included garden and art activities,
food, local performers and hired entertainment such as Dazzling Dan, Roaming Reptiles and the
Animal Nursery.
After 10 years Rosewall “Going Potty” Festival is due for an upgrade. The Artistic Director for 2015
will revision the festival to include:

increased opportunities for participation in creative and outdoor activities
increased participation by local groups and individuals
a broad range of cultural input, including from CALD and Indigenous groups
potential for growth, both in budget and attendance.
