Teams Competition
A team is to consist of four combinations –each rider from a different level.
Teams to be submitted to the Events Secretary by midday on Friday 5 December
No entry fee, rosettes for 1st team.
Under 21 Teams Series – Round 1
two tests each. Riders/horses are not required to be registered with ESNZ.
A maximum of 20 teams. Round 2 of the Series will be held at the South
Island Dressage Championships.
ESNZ Community Membership
ESNZ Community Membership permits you to compete in non-graded
classes only. Membership is free and will be compulsory to compete in
Non-graded competitions from 1 January 2015. Please refer to:

Entries and Conditions
1.
This event is being run under the Rules and Regulations of the ESNZ and Rules of Dressage New Zealand.
2.
Entries are to be made on-line at www.equestrianentries.co.nz.
Payment is to be made to Canterbury Dressage MEF Account: 02 0820 0359529 05. For your entry to be accepted you must pay your entry
fee prior to the closing date of entries. Please advise the name of the rider in the reference section.

Prize money will only be paid out to 4th place and on scores of 55% or higher for all grades. There will be a Sweepstake for prize money for
the Pony classes. (Total of all entry fees less $4.00 per pony).
Prize money will be paid by direct credit. Please ensure you include your bank account details on your Rider Profile on Equestrian Entries
New Zealand.
4.
Canterbury riders must submit a task for your entry to be accepted. Please use the “Yarding/Special Requests” area.

The draw will be on the Canterbury Dressage website – www.freewebs.com/canterburydressage
6.
All tests, other than the Dunstan Horsefeeds Bonanza Qualifier count towards the Championship with the actual Championship Test carrying
a weighting of 1.5. Enter the Championship class with original entry and fees will be returned if the qualification is not met. Championship
classes are restricted to 20 horses. For Levels 6, 7, 8 & 9 Championships, please refer below.
7.
For Levels 1, 2 and 3, the top 20 horses qualify for the Championship on Sunday. The Championship draw will be available on the scoreboard
from 6.00 pm on Saturday and from 7.00 pm on Canterbury Dressage Facebook.
8.
Horses/ponies may only enter in one Championship only.
9.
Horses/ponies can be entered in no more than two classes per day, with the exception of the YDH Practice classes, the Under 21 Teams
Series and the Dunstan Horsefeeds Dressage Bonanza Qualifier being the exceptions to this ruling. The Dunstan Qualifier can be entered as
a third option for those who qualify (CN-C2 riders only), but does not count towards the Championship.
10.
Ponies competing in the Zilco Musical Freestyle classes are allocated points based on their placing in the overall class.
11.
Riders competing in the Pryde’s Easifeeds Young Rider High Points Series, please refer to page 48 of the Dressage NZ Year Book.
12.
*New Trophy* - ‘Sophie Luddington Memorial Trophy’ – Young Rider Level 3 and above highest points.
13.
The Challenge tests cannot be commanded.
14.
Class sizes may be limited and entries will be accepted in order of receipt.
15.
Only horses/ponies entered in the competition are permitted on the grounds.
16.

17.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter, or delete any part of this schedule at any time with all due notice being given to
concerned parties.
18.
Canterbury Dressage ESNZ acts as agent only in regard to the collection of entry and other fees and payment of other expenses.

7.30am on the day of competition. Refund of entry fees will only be paid out on the receipt of a vet / medical certificate, less the
administration fee. See attached form.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
Young Dressage Horse Practice Classes
The tests for these classes are the FEI Preliminary tests for each age group. The link to these tests are on

These classes do not count for grading points nor are they qualifying classes, they are being offered as a
“practice” only for the South Island Championships.
Please nominate with your online entries in the Yarding/Special Requests area if you wish to enter.
Levels 6, 7, 8 and 9 Championships
The Level 6 Championship will be determined from Classes 6, 23, 36
The Level 7 Championship will be determined from Classes 7, 23, 37
The Level 8 Championship will be determined from Classes 8, 24, 38
The Level 9 Championship will be determined from Classes 9, 25, 39
Riders must nominate in advance which Championship they are entering
when entering online in the Yarding/Special Requests area.

ASSISTANCE FROM ALL CANTERBURY RIDERS
All riders are required to nominate a task you can help with. If you are unable to assist yourself, you are asked
to supply a substitute.
In order for this competition to work we welcome your co-operation and support. Entries will be limited and
accepted only with your appointed task. This will be strictly enforced.
Please indicate your task in the “yarding/special requests” area when you are doing your online entry. By
indicating your task it is your responsibility to carry it out.
Task
Put up arenas – Thursday 4 December at 10.00am
Take down arenas at the conclusion of competition
Provide a vehicle to tow an arena trailer at the conclusion of competition
Write for a judge
If you are offering to write for a judge you are required to supply a substitute
name, in the event your class clashes with your writing assignment. Writers
who scratch their horse and don’t intend to turn up to write need to contact
Charlotte Mooney ([email protected]) immediately.
Please note that all Canterbury riders must make themselves available to
write for a judge for an allocated time over the weekend slot.
