mukhOsh presents
Brishti, finally……
13th and 27th December 2014
Kala Mandir, Kolkata
3rd and 4th January 2015
Gyan Manch, Kolkata
An original theatre experience with a flavour of cinema
mukhOsh
mukhOsh was established by a bunch of theatre enthusiasts from the Indian
Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2005.
After several successful shows in the city, we dared to host Moitree, the first
Bangla theatre festival of Bengaluru in 2008, at Ranga Shankara.
We were invited by Sayak, Kolkata, and the Paschim Banga Natya Academy
to perform in Kolkata.
In 2009, we hosted Moitree again, in collaboration with the Paschim Banga
Natya Academy.

Media attention
Brishti, finally…..
After a long period of silence, we are planning to be back on stage, with an
original play, Brishti, finally... (Rain, finally…).
The play has been conceptualized and scripted by Ayan, one of the founders and
the Director of mukhOsh, and a physicist by profession.
mukhOsh began as an initiative by scientists, and has grown ever since.
Nonetheless, we have not abandoned the spirit of science, and we love to
experiment.
This play breaks many rules of traditional Bangla theatre that Kolkata is
accustomed to, and hopes to draw a young multiplex-going crowd to theatre.
