At the Davison Area Senior Center

This History Outreach Program
on Flint’s Street Names
& their Origins!
Have you ever wondered how the city streets
received their names? Did you know many of these
streets were named after people? Who are these
people whose names we see every day? You will
discover what role these people played in the history
of Flint, and what significant accomplishments they
achieved to have a street named after places and
companies, and how they are connected to them.
This 40 minute presentation, ‘Flint’s Street Names
and their Origins”, will answer those questions and
so much more! This outreach program is made
possible through a grant from the Ruth Mott
Foundation, allowing Sloan*Longway to bring this
program directly to the Senior Center at no cost to
you! The program speaker is Kyle Rogers, a flint
native. Mr. Rogers is a senior at the University of
Michigan-Flint studying History, Secondary
Education, & Psychology.
