P O Box 1330, Burpengary, Queensland, 450 www.bwpc.org.au Burpengary Western Performance Club Inc. PRESIDENTS REPORT Well, another successful youth camp has just been and gone. I hope that all the youth and their parents are as tired and happy and we all are. A special thanks to all who worked tirelessly to make sure all the youth enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all of our trainers – Ken Davison, Kelby Hutchinson, Emma Tagget, Andrew Woinarski, Andrew Shield, Emlyn Broad, Amy Woinarski, Wayne Williams and Lenore Webb (for all her work with the Lead Liners) who gave so freely of their time to ensure that the youth had expert tuition whilst still making the experiences a happy one. We had the pleasure of 5 visiting youth from New Caledonia – Jordan LeGall, Mathew Molinier, Laura Lacrose, Ambre Willemot, and Laurie Moglia. Their experience was made all the more enjoyable through the members who kindly supplied horses for the youth to ride. The NC youth have asked me to convey their thanks to Chris Sewell; Julie Broad; Vicki McNamara; Ken Davison and Joan Leon for the loan of these great horses. All of our youth enjoyed their instruction and their show experience on Sunday. The gents on the BBQ’s again did a fantastic job feeding approximately 110 mouths (kids and parents) which, because of the extreme workload the trainers gave them, were very hungry, as well as Tarsha, Nigel and Pam in the kitchen. Our Sponsors were Australian Quarter Horse Association, PBL Floats and Trailers, Southern Cross Saddlery and Snake Gully Bananas and BWPC thanks them for their continued support. Our “B” Show Judges for Sunday must also be thanked for giving their time to run the show at no cost. Once again, thanks to all for your support. Don’t forget to book in for the AGM Awards Night. See attached page re AGM bookings. TERRY McSWEENEY CAMP QUARTER HORSE 2014 54 Youth were enrolled in the Camp ranging in ages from 4 – 18years, with five of the youth arriving from New Caledonia. The hard working Committee (and parents) fed over 110 children and parents.
