That is so true of many moms; you can love them, sometimes not like them, be happy for them, be sad & worry about them. Anyway you spell it, they are & always will be your MOM. Chair Yoga is going to start May 1st. It will be every Friday in May from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Please see the information in the newsletter. We hope this will be an event that will continue every Friday from that date on. On Friday, May 8th we will have our Mother’s Day celebration. The lunch will be catered by the chef from Sterling House of Davison. The cost is $5.00 and you must RSVP by Friday, May 1st. The monies will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. I would like to remind everyone of the fundraiser we will have at the senior center on Saturday, May 9th. It will start at 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. That time slot is for a workshop that will have instructors available to help you spruce up you dancing skills; if the workshop does not interest you, then how about coming for the dance, which will be held from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. It will benefit our senior center and will be fun to dance and or socialize with others. On Wednesday, May 20th Senior Power Day at Crossroads Village will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The big tent is full of vendors that have so much information to share. Tickets are available in the front office of the senior center; cost per ticket is $3.00. On Friday, June 5th the senior center will close at 1 p.m. The floors are due for their semi-annual cleaning. We are so fortunate to be able to keep up on the maintenance of this beautiful building. With proper and continued upkeep this building can be around to serve our senior citizen population for many years to come. I want to remind everyone that we will be closed on Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day. I hope everyone has a safe and beautiful day. ͼΒΥΙΪ͑ ͼΒΥΙΪ͑ Thank you for your interest in the News and Views, 810.658.1566 • 810.658.8044 Fax • www.davison-sc.org 3 Coming Events Generation Band Dance Senior Center Fundraiser… Come have some fun… @ The Davison Area Senior Center Wednesdays, Line Dance Workshop & Dance May 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th 7:00—10:00 p.m. $5.00 cover charge at the door!
