TRUMP’S FULL WEEK
WASHINGTON - President Trump made
light of the 100-day mark of his presidency
this Saturday (apology — we mistakenly
wrote the date as Friday in yesterday’s
newsletter). But that is not stopping him
from rolling out a full schedule this week
to highlight what’s he’s accomplished. In
addition, members of his Cabinet will travel
across the country to echo the message.
Today - Trump will place a call to outer
space and speak with NASA astronaut Peggy
Whitson, who last week made history as
the longest American in space, “about the
importance of empowering women to pursue
educations and careers.” He’ll also have
lunch with ambassadors from countries that
are on the UN Security Council. At night, he is

hosting a reception with conservative media
and will have dinner with Sens. John McCain
and Lindsey Graham, two Republicans who
have been critical of him.
Tomorrow - Trump will deliver the keynote
address at the National Holocaust Memorial
Museum’s National Day of Remembrance.
He’ll also finally round out his Cabinet when
Sonny Perdue is expected to be sworn in as
the secretary of Agriculture.
Wednesday - Trump will outline his tax
reform plan — the biggest tax cut ever, he
claimed last week — and host a briefing for
senators on North Korea with Secretary of
State Rex Tillerson, Defense Secretary Jim
Mattis, Director of National Intelligence Dan
Coats, and Joseph Dunford, chairman of the

Security department is rolling out the
“Victims of Immigrant Crime Engagement
Office” to draw attention to crimes by
illegals in sanctuary cities.
Thursday - Trump meets the president
of Argentina and will have dinner with the

Gorsuch whom he appointed.
Saturday - Trump will wrap it all up at a
“BIG” rally in Pennsylvania. It begins at 7:30
p.m. — coincidentally (?) just as the White
House Correspondents Dinner begins. It’s a
night of jokes which no president in modern
history has missed, until Trump.
MAKING THE ROUNDS
Trump visiting Israel? Israeli media reports
say that Trump, accompanied by Secretary
of State Rex Tillerson and UN Ambassador
Nikki Haley, will all be going to Israel in the
next few months. Trump will be in the region
on May 29 and 30, making it likely that he’ll
swing by the Holy Land then. It will be his
first overseas trip as president.

WASHINGTON

after
his
administration came under fire for a
Holocaust message which omitted mention
of the 6 million Jews, Trump taped a video
message last night for the World Jewish
Congress in which he specifically noted the
Jews.
KEY QUOTE: “On Yom HaShoah, we look
back at the darkest chapter of human
history. We mourn, we remember, we pray,
and we pledge: Never again. I say it, never
again. The mind cannot fathom the pain, the
horror, and the loss. Six million Jews, twothirds of the Jews in Europe, murdered by
the Nazi genocide. They were murdered by
an evil that words cannot describe, and that
the human heart cannot bear.”
NOTE: Trump’s specific mention of Jews
means that his aides and advisors claims
in January that they left them out because
of a desire to be more “inclusive” was just
political cover. As we noted at the time, it
would have been better for them to just
come out and say, we made a mistake.”
NOTE II: Israel’s Holocaust Day is not
recognized by Torah Jews, especially since
it falls in Nisan when mourning is forbidden.
In addition, the day marks the beginning of
the Warsaw ghetto uprising, a not so subtle
dig at the 6 million Yidden who did not fight

PARIS - French voters spoke yesterday
and they sent a centrist candidate who
just recently set up a party and a far-right
contender who has been trying to shed her
party’s racist label to a presidential runoff
next month. Emmanuel Macron immediately
received the backing of Francois Fillon, who
had until a scandal overtook his campaign
been the overwhelming favorite. Macron
faces National Front leader Marine Le Pen,
who wants voters to decide whether France
should leave the European Union and the
euro currency. Mainstream politicians on
the left and right urged voters to block Le
Pen’s path to power in the May 7 runoff while
polls show that the sharp rise in crime and

terrorism makes her a credible candidate.
Results: Macron had 24 percent and Le
Pen got 22 percent. Fillon, with just under 20
percent, was slightly ahead of the far-left’s
Jean-Luc Melenchon, who had 19 percent.
Historic Vote: France is now in unchartered
territory — for the first time the next
president will be someone from outside the
mainstream parties. How will they get their
proposed legislation through parliament?
And how will the runoff’s outcome affect the
country’s legislative election a month later?
Who is Emmanuel Macron?
Macron, 39, is a newcomer to politics,
virtually unknown to most of his countrymen
just three years ago. But his strong probusiness and pro-EU views make him
acceptable enough for mainstream voters to
cast the ballot for him to keep Le Pen out.
His chief advisor is his wife Brigitte — who
at 63 is 24 years older than him. He launched
his own political movement, En Marche! (In
Motion!) last year to support his candidacy.
He pledges to ask the EU to deploy some
5,000 border guards to the external borders
of the bloc’s passport-free travel zone.
Who is Marine Le Pen?
Le Pen, 48, got her passion for far-right
values in the cradle. Her father, Jean Marie
Le Pen, founded the National Front in 1972
with a clear anti-Semitic, Holocaust denial
agenda. But when the younger Le Pen, the
mother of three, took over, she defied the
party’s old guard, expelling most of them,

YERUSHALAYIM - Many of the 200,000
French-born Israelis were eligible to
vote, and nearly a third of them did. Their
favorite appeared to be François Fillon,

National Assembly representing citizens in

QUEENS - Five people, including three
children, died tragically yesterday at a house
fire in Queens. It was the city’s deadliest
fire in two years, since the seven Sassoon
children were killed right after Pesach in

RISHON LITZION - Israel refused
yesterday an extradition request from
the United States for the Israeli-American
teenager accused of making bomb threats
to Jewish centers, and will undertake its
own prosecution. Michael Ron David Kadar,
an 18-year-old dual Israeli-American from
Ashkelon, was charged in the U.S. on Friday
with 28 counts of making threatening calls
and conveying false information to police.
New details emerged under questioning,
revealing that he threatened and extorted
a U.S. senator and that he made as many
as 2,000 hoax calls, not the 200 previously
alleged. He recorded each of his hoax calls
and kept them in organized files at his home,
along with news articles describing the
police responses.

Third US Citizen
PYONGYANG - North Korea on Saturday
arrested a U.S. citizen who teaches
