Follow Steps
➢First of all, you need to extract the driver files
to a temporary folder,
➢Go through and accept the License
Agreement.
➢Remove the check mark from the box in front
of “Launch the Add Printer Wizard after
extraction completes”.
➢Open the File Explorer in your PC and then
click on This PC.
Follow Steps
➢Select Local Disk and then navigate the
Lexmark folder.
➢Click on the Lexmark_Universal_v2_UD1_XL
and then select Drivers.
➢Select Print and then click on GDI.
➢Select the LMUD1p40 Setup Information file
(.inf).
Follow Steps
➢ Click on Run as administrator option.
➢ If the Port name is not available, go to printer Server
Properties and select Ports Tab to create one.
➢ You can also use the prnport.vbs script provided by
Microsoft to create a port name. Now type
C:\Windows\system32>rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry
/if /m "Lexmark Universal v2 XL" /f
"C;\Lexmark\Lexmark_Universal_v2_UD1_XL\Drivers|P
rint\GDI\LMUD1p40.inf /r "<IP_Address>" /Z /q in the
Port name field.
Follow Steps
➢Go to Control Panel and then click on view
devices and printers option.
➢Hit the Print server properties tab and then
select Drivers.
➢Navigate and select Lexmark Universal v2
XL option under Installed printer drivers.
➢Click OK and verify the successful
installation by locating the Lexmark
Universal v2 XL driver.
