TE KURA WAENGANUI O AWA KAIRANGI 20th November 2014 PRINCIPAL’S REPORT With the end of the year looming fast, I would like to remind both students and parents that we have strict expectations around uniform, including correct socks and shoes. Please do not let the standards slip and encourage your children to represent the school with pride right to the end of the year. Students who do not wear correct uniform will not be able to attend the end of year assemblies. Thank you to the great response to the financial statements sent out a couple of weeks ago. It is very encouraging to see donations coming in and the last of the $10 specialist subject fees being paid before the end of the year. Please note the separate notices in this newsletter regarding the sale of 2014 School Magazines and also Year 7 and Year 8 group photos. Both magazine and photo order forms are available from your child’s class teacher or the office. It is great to see the children’s excitement and enthusiasm for the all the end of year extra-curricular activities. Please ensure that you are aware of what is coming up by reading notices sent home with your children and checking the calendar in our weekly newsletter and website. Have a great weekend. MESSAGE FROM YMCA WELLINGTON We’ve got another jam-packed holiday programme planned – focusing on broadening children’s skillsets and hobbies. We’ve also got some exciting visits including Wellington Chocolate factory, Six Barrel Soda Company factory, a special presentation at Carter Observatory, imagination playground at the Dowse, and last but not least the chance to get super adventurous and experience Camp Kaitoke for the day!
