Welcome!! We are glad you came to join with us in our worship today. We hope that you have
felt God’s love in a new, refreshing way…
From Fr. Tony:
Well, I hope Thanksgiving Day was nice and that your
weekend is going just as well. This is a wonderful time of
year. It is amazing how people’s attitudes change. For the
most part people seem to happy and sort of cheery
however, whenever we think about all the things that
needs to be done and things that need to be bought, we get
anxious, upset, and down-right irritable. When that
happens, I think we are forgetting the true meaning for this
time of year. Take for example, the many stores that are
open and having sales on Thanksgiving Day already. The
only thing that we should be anxious about is waiting for
Christ. Advent is a time for us to prepare our hearts for
the way of the Lord. Christ will come again, but Christ
also wants to come to us here and now. May this time of
year be of wonderful anticipation and not one of needless
worries. Don’t go the wrong way in the Advent rush, but
make sure the right way is to God. With that being said,
enjoy: While a man had gone out driving to do some
Christmas shopping, his wife had been watching TV when
she heard the announcer say, "be very careful and watch
driving on I5 today, there is a motorist driving the wrong
way"! His wife got hold of him on the cell phone to warn
him, and his reply was: "You tell me, there are hundreds
of them here".
May your Advent be one of excitement, peace, happiness,
and preparation!!!
SPECIAL THANKS TO…
 Those who took the time and helped put out the
Missalettes and the Music Issues for our churches.
This is one job that often gets overlooked. Therefore,
next time you take a Missalette or Music Issue,
remember in prayer those who put it set them out and
organize them.
 Please take this time now to recognize someone that
you are thankful for…
DMA UPDATE
As you know, this is DMA Commitment Sunday. Please
use the envelopes that are in the churches for your
commitment. Remember, anything raised above our
parish goals will come back to our parishes. Our parish
goal for Our Lady of Victory’s is $2,739.87; St. Anne’s is
$8,581.47; St. Mary’s is $3,153.43; St. Mathias is
$3,980.56. In addition to all the ministries the appeal
supports at the diocesan level, all gifts over our goal will
go to support the furnace situation in the social hall at Our
Lady of Victory, the support of our school at St. Anne, the
liturgical environment at St. Mary, and the general
expenses at St. Mathias. Keep in mind that our needs
might change as time goes on, but these were the projects
that the various Administrative Councils decided on right
now.
YEAR FOR CONSECRATED LIFE
All are invited to the diocesan Day for Consecrated Life

door), 1 p.m. convent tours/open gym, 2 p.m. “Sisters Got
Talent,” a talent show featuring the gifts of religious
sisters from many different communities (in Holy Trinity
Auditorium), 3:30 p.m. Holy Hour with Vespers at the
Cathedral. We especially encourage families and youth to
join us for this fun and joy-filled event! No charge. Freewill offering accepted. Contact Sr. Anna at

needed for lunch only.

“We all take things for granted. In particular, we take
time for granted. Our lives are so busy, many of us are
planning our time –our days, weeks, months, even years
in advance. Remember, our time on earth is a gift. None
of us knows how long we will be here. Start today and
begin thanking God for each and every day. Take time in
silence, everyday, and listen to what God is saying to
you.”
