For Your Prayers As part of Churches Together in Hexham we pray for the people the Hexham Corps of the Salvation Army and their Envoy, Eunice Blakey. Within Hexham Deanery we pray for our own parish, for Revd Michelle Dalliston, Revd Alan Currie, Associate Priest, and our retired clergy. Within our Diocese we pray for our Clergy and Readers and all who share in God’s mission. Within our Parish we pray for the Mother’s Union and the way in which they enrich our lives, especially their help with Tots Praise and Baptism Preparation. We pray for our world, especially for the situations in Syria, Northern Iraq, the Middle East and for all affected by the Ebola outbreak. Hexham Art Club – Exhibition in the North Transept from 24th November to 6th December. Advent Weekend - There are a series of special services happening over the Advent weekend, starting with Night Prayer by candlelight on Friday 28th November at 6pm as part of the Christmas Light Switch On in the town and the Abbey Shop, Exhibition and Refectory (serving mulled wine, hot drinks and cakes) will all be open late. On Saturday 29th at 12 noon it is our Patronal Festival Eucharist with celebratory refreshments afterwards and on Advent Sunday 30th there is our candlelit Advent Carol Service at 6.30pm. See leaflets for further details and do come along. Request for empty JAM JARS for candles for the Advent weekend – so do not need lids – please deliver to the Parish Centre – thank you!
