We are glad you chose to worship with us today. Please fill out a visitor’s card from the pew and place it in the offering plate so we will have a record of your visit. Assisted hearing devices are also available. Parents are welcome to take advantage of our nursery facilities and graded worship through middle school. (See a greeter for directions.) TODAY IS “GRATITUDE SUNDAY.” This is a special service of gratitude for all that God has done for us over the past year. Our “Gratitude Offering” this year will be designated for building maintenance, including a new roof for the sanctuary. Only one offering will be taken, and all gifts over the weekly budgeted need will be our special offering. Also, a building fund will continue after the special offering, for anyone who would like to contribute. “Future Fund” envelopes are in the foyer for these gifts. WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERVICES this week will only include H2O at 4 p.m., Adult Choir practice at 6:45 p.m. in the sanctuary, Children’s Choir practice in the FLC at 6:45 p.m., and [gloh] Worship in The Lighthouse at 6:45 p.m. also. There is no meal this Wednesday. POINSETTIAS are available to place in the sanctuary in honor of memory of loved ones this Christmas. You’ll find envelopes to order them in the foyer. Today is the last day to order. THE “HANGING OF THE GREENS” is planned for tonight at 5 p.m. We need lots of helpers to get the buildings decorated for Christmas. BETHANY IS IN CHARGE of the tailgating meal at UWGCCF this Thursday, December 4. If you can plan to feed 10-15 students, and be set up by 7:30 p.m., please contact Neil Weathington. FOOD PANTRY DRIVE – The “Item of the Month” for our Food Pantry for November is canned soups, spaghetti sauce and corn. There is a bin in the foyer to deposit these items. Thanks for your help, and remember if you know of someone in need, either send them our way, bring them to the pantry, or take items to them. THE CHILDREN’S CHOIR has the following practices scheduled for their Christmas performance: Sunday, Dec. 7, 12-1:15 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 14, 12-1:15 p.m., and then be back at church at 5:45 p.m. (dressed in your Christmas clothes) for the performance that evening. Please note they will also meet on Wednesday nights at 6:45 p.m. until their performance. TODAY’S INSERT in the bulletin is a listing of names for our “Christmas Card Project.” Instead of exchanging cards within the church family, this year we encourage everyone to only bring one card to share in a display in the foyer, and instead to send cards to those on our list. We have targeted those who are homebound, battling illness, lonely, or just going through though times. LADIES WHO HAVE TICKETS to attend First Christian’s Christmas Luncheon this Tuesday, please be at the church, ready to leave at 10:45 a.m. to ride the van. Parking is very limited there. THE COMMUNION PREPARATION LIST for 2015 is available in the foyer for volunteers to help prepare communion on Sunday morning. THE WOMEN’S SHELTER November item is baked beans (in the large institutional size cans, if you can find them.) There is a bin for these items in the foyer. PLEASE CONTACT ANY OF OUR ELDERS if you have a need during this time of transition at Bethany. If you need a list with their contact information, call the church office. TO RECEIVE BETHANY EMAIL, send an email to [email protected]. To receive the Bethany eNewsletter on Wednesday, email [email protected]. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND SERVICES and would like communion brought to you at home, please contact the church office, or the men in charge of home communion for the week.
