AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 5, SUBDIVISION 3 OF
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
COLD SPRING PERTAINING TO
ACCESSORY USES IN THE R-1
ZONING DISTRICT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COLD SPRING, STEARNS
COUNTY, MINNESOTA HEREBY
ORDAINS:
The language stricken through below is hereby proposed to be deleted
and the language underlined is proposed to be added.
Subdivision 3. Accessory Uses.
In addition to other uses specifically identified in Section 4, Table 1,
the following are permitted accessory
uses within the R-1 District:
a. An attached Private Garage
that contains not more than 80% of
the square footage of the Dwelling
which is the foundation perimeter,
also referred to as the block footprint.
b. Only one of each of the following accessory uses shall be permitted
for each principal use; Section 17,
Subd.14.2.b.iv notwithstanding.
i. A detached Private Garage
when it contains not more than 1,200
square feet or 60% of the square
footage of the Dwelling, which is the
foundation perimeter, also referred to
as the block footprint, whichever is
less.
ii. A Storage Shed, not exceeding
one-hundred twenty (120) square
feet, and not permanently affixed.
iii. A pet kennel not exceeding
eighty (80) square feet.
iv. A carport, not greater in size
than nine feet by twenty-two feet
(9’x22’).
v. A gazebo.
c. Private swimming pools when
completely enclosed within a fence
meeting the requirements for pools.
d. Boarding of rooms to not more
than two (2) boarders, in addition to
the owner that occupies the
Dwelling. Or, the rental of the
Dwelling to one (1) family, or not
more than an aggregate of three (3)
individual parties, for living purposes
only and having only one permanently installed cooking and sanitary facilities.
e. Maintenance of dogs and cats or
other household pets, subject to licensing requirements, health regulations and other applicable
Ordinances of the City.
f. Antennas, provided that no portion is located within a dedicated
easement and that they meet the following criteria.
i. Accessory antennas shall not be
erected in any required yard, except
a rear yard, and shall be set back a
minimum of five (5) feet from all lot
lines.
ii. Guy wires or guy wire anchors
shall be set back a minimum of five
(5) feet from all lot lines.
iii. Accessory antennas and necessary support structures, monopoles
or towers may extend a maximum of
the lesser of fifteen (15) feet above
the normal height restriction for the
affected zoning district or fifteen (15)
feet above the actual height of the
principal structure.
g. Off-street parking as regulated
by Section 17, Subdivision 12,
General Regulations.
h. Signs as regulated in Section
17, Subdivision 11, and General
Regulations.
Subdivision 5. This Ordinance
shall become effective upon its passage and publication.

The regular meeting of the Board
of Education of Independent School
District No. 750 was called to order
by Chair Schnettler in the Board
Room at the Rocori District Office at
6:30 p.m.
Board Members present: Mike
Austreng, Lisa Demuth, Kara
Habben, Tim Lieser (arrived at 7:21
pm), Nadine Schnettler, Lynn

Student
Representatives Lisa Volkers, and
Alyssa Job.
Board Members absent: Student

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
A motion was made by Demuth,
seconded by Austreng, to approve the
agenda as amended with two personnel and one policy item. Motion carried unanimously.
Chair Schnettler called for comments and requests from visitors and
there were none.
Student Representative Volkers
gave a report of the activities of the
Student Senate.
The following were recognized by
the Board of Education with “We Are

payment of November bills and payroll: Check #87288 through Check
#87566 in the amount of
$1,925,313.40. Motion carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Austreng,
seconded by Demuth, to approve
Check #87414 to Cold Spring Bakery
in the amount of $120.02. Voting in
favor: Austreng, Demuth, Habben,
Lieser, and Schnettler. Abstaining:

following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF
ELECTION AND DIRECTING THE
SCHOOL DISTRICT CLERK TO
PERFORM OTHER ELECTION RELATED DUTIES
WHEREAS, the board has canvassed the general election for school
board members held in conjunction
with the state general election on
November 4, 2014.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Independent School District No. 750,
State of Minnesota, as follows:
1. The chair and clerk are hereby
authorized to execute certificates of
election on behalf of the school board
of Independent School District No.
750 to the following candidates:
a. Richard Bohannon
b. Lisa Demuth
c. Kara Habben
who have received a sufficiently
large number of votes to be elected to
fill vacancies on the board caused by
expiration of term on the first Monday in January next following the
election, based on the results of the
canvass.
2. The certificate of election shall
be in substantially the form attached
hereto.
3. After the time for contesting
the election has passed and the candidate has filed all campaign financial reports required by Minnesota
Statutes, Chapter 211A, the clerk of
the school board is hereby directed to
deliver a certificate to each person
entitled thereto personally or by certified mail.
4. The clerk is hereby directed to
enclose with the certificate a form of
acceptance of office and oath of office
in substantially the form attached
hereto.
The motion for the adoption of the
foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Schurman and upon vote
being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Austreng, Demuth, Habben, Schnettler, and
Schurman and the following voted
against the same: None whereupon
said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.

Boniface and on the Curriculum
Committee.
Habben reported on the Early
Childhood Advisory Council working
on playgrounds, Response to Inter-
vention (RtI) committee, and the
Staff Development Committee.
Lieser reported on the Policy
Committee.
Schnettler reported on the Benton-Stearns Education District, Resource Training and Solutions, and
the Senior Center Board Meeting.
Schurman reported on the Schools
for Equity in Education (SEE), Negotiations, Meet and Confer, and
MSBA Legislative issues.
