LONDON ADVANCED LEVEL

LONDON ADVANCED LEVEL
Period : January 2015 – June 2017
Ladies’ College is an approved school for the above course, preparing students for
the last three decades. In the recent past, some of our students have reached great
heights, scoring the highest marks in the world in their subjects.
Unlike the local Advanced Level where the students take up the whole exam at the
end of their course, London Advanced Level subjects are split into units, which can
be taken during the course of studies (from Jan 2015 to June 2017). Our school
offers the students a choice of two syllabi for the above examination - either the UK
Advanced Level or International Advanced Level.
The first year is known as “Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level” and the second year is
“Advanced (A2) Level”. Mathematics and Science subjects consist of 3 units in each
year, whereas Economics, Business Studies, Literature in English, Sociology,
Psychology and Art & Design have two units each year. Accounting has one unit
each year and Law is to be taken up once, at the end of the course.
The following is the combination of subjects currently available at Ladies’ College.
The students have to choose only one subject from each of the groups given below.
Of the four subjects, a student has the option to drop one after one year of study
and offer a minimum of 3 subjects for the exam.
