S OUTHERN C ULTURAL H ERITAGE F OUNDATION DEC/JANUARY 2015 7th Annual Holly Days Arts & Crafts Show Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation presents the 7th Annual Holly Days Arts & Crafts Show. The show will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the historic SCHF Auditorium. The hours of the show are 9:00am until 3:00pm. Admission is $1. Holly Days will feature a room full of quality vendors showcasing their arts and crafts. Local talent will entertain throughout the day. This event will precede Vicksburg Main Street’s Annual Christmas Parade of Lights at 5 pm. The live entertainment will include: Jeanne Evans Music Students (9am-9:45am) Vicksburg Performing Arts Company (10am-10:45am) Susan Gambrell Music Students (11am-11:45am) Church of the Holy Trinity, Conservatory of the Fine Arts Student Orchestra and Suzuki Violin Group (12pm-12:45pm) Vicksburg High School Madrigals (1pm-1:45pm) Debra Franco Preparatory School of Dance (2pm-2:45pm) Goldie’s Express will also be on site to sell delicious barbeque lunches. Vicksburg High School Madrigals Dinner Theater The Vicksburg High School Madrigals will have Singe Feast, a Renaissance Madrigal Dinner, on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 7:00pm in the SCHF Auditorium. Tickets are $25/person and includes dinner, a theatrical performance and Christmas concert performed by VHS Choral Department. Guests are invited to dress in accordance with the Renaissance period but casual modern dress is fine, too. The Royal Announcement of Guests will commence at 6:30pm at which time guests will be directed to their reserved seating. On Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, William Furlong will lead this workshop and focus on using seasonal ingredients and interesting flavor combinations to give you recipes that will become classics. Basic Yeast Breads Workshop On Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Lisa and John Martin will present the beginning basics of bread making. Discussion of the necessary ingredients for bread making will focus on flour and yeast. Start to finish preparation of a yeast sandwich bread. Lagniappe: quick and easy crostini toppings. This is the first of three classes. Registration for the first class is $30/SCHF members and $35/non-members and includes all supplies. Reservations are required.
