The team played an exceptional game against a slightly larger Pompallier team. We ended up winning 38-12 at home in front of a school crowd. They play again against Bay of Islands College (up there) on Tuesday June 10. We had an extremely successful week at Kensington Park for the Northland Area Schools Sports Tournament last week. We took 30 students away to compete in Volleyball, Futsal, Netball and Rugby. Both the boys and girls teams won the Futsal and Volleyball competition and our Netball team placed 5th overall. With these exceptional results Tauraroa Area School was named the overall winning school. On top of this we had several students named in the NAS team for their individual codes and some of these will be travelling to Nelson in the July holidays.
