St Augustine’s are replacing the windows with double glazing starting on January 5th.
With the decorating and other interior works we need to raise £25,000 altogether, which would
be £20K if it is all Gift Aided! Thank you to St Thomas More design & tech department for a
magnificent Totaliser! So far we have reached £5268.00 banked, and with another £1000 very
generously given over Christmas.
The container for the windows materials is now delivered and the truck will arrive between
8.30am and 9am on Monday 5th Jan, first day of term.
Decorating of the Sanctuary is complete so that it is bright and clean for Christmas. Many
thanks for all who have cleaned church after it.
This new year is our 80th anniversary of the foundation of the parish beginning with the
anniversary of the first mass back in Christmas 1934.

Baptism Preparation
Please try to book baptisms at least two months in
advance, by talking to one of the clergy and filling in a form. We have just had two
preparation sessions, next ones in February.
Christmas Crib.
Many thanks for new volunteers at St Filumena’s and those
setting up our cribs at St Augustine’s and St Mary’s. Crib collections at each
church for Fr Hudsons’ Society
Red Boxes, APF Mission Appeals
Later in the year we will have the priest giving the Red Box mission appeal,
but many thanks to those who collect regularly. We have sent off £1539.00
from Meir and Cresswell together, of which £470.40 was from St Mary’s.

in offerings in envelopes with offering and clear information about which church, names and
intentions, your name and contact number, and preferred dates, so that they can get to the diary
