We had the joy of witnessing dozens of baptisms, and we look forward to continuing our service as there is much more work to be done. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us! ADULT FORUM 2015 January 4, 2015 "From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians" series continues with Part Three. Following the sack of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple, the revolt brings new questions about the nature of both Judaism and Christianity. The decisions made over the rest of the first century into the second lead to the eventual split into two different religions. The need to write down the teachings of Jesus started with Paul's letters. Storytelling in both word and song led to the writing of the four Gospels. January 11, 2015 "From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians" concludes with Part Four. During the second and third centuries, Christianity takes a foothold in the Roman Empire. Why did Christianity succeed when other religions did not? One of the amazing things during this time was the diversity of beliefs that existed in Christianity. This part concludes with the reign of Constantine in the beginning of the fourth century and the major impact his decisions had on Christianity.
