Program Options YMCA Youth Basketball is for boys and girls ages 8 to 15 If you are already enrolled in our Winter day camp and would like your child to take Basketball lessons, we do offer “Ala Carte Basketball Classes” to improve their basketball fundamentals and physical conditioning. The classes will focus on playing on a team, that teaches sportsmanship, teamwork and the basic rules of the game. If registered for the “Ala Carte” Basketball classes, your child will be escorted to their coach for a 60 minute class Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s then escorted back to their winter day camp group (excluding holidays). Activities include recreational swim, sports and games, arts and crafts, and weekly excursions. Schedule of Activities Monday K to 2nd Dec 22 EXCURSIONS: On scheduled excursion days, we ask that all children report to the YMCA by 8:00am or time noted on schedule. WHAT TO BRING DAILY: Comfortable clothes to play in, water bottle, lunch and snack. On excursion days, a list of supplies will go out before the day of excursion. For your convenience, the Nuuanu YMCA is able to offer an optional lunch and snack program at an additional cost. LUNCH & SNACK OPTIONS: The Nuuanu YMCA will be offering an optional Snack service ($1.50 each). Optional lunch services ($6.50 each) will be provided by Subway, Sam’s Deli, and Pizza Hut. Please consider any dietary cautions and restrictions prior to ordering. Please order directly with the Youth Dept. Deadline to order snacks and lunches may vary. A $25 fee will be applied for any check or credit card payments returned from you financial institution due to insufficient funds. Cancellations must be in writing and received at least 5 days prior to the start of the program. A non-refundable 30% processing fee (maximum of $50) will be applied. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The Nuuanu YMCA believes its programs and services should be accessible to everyone. Through the generosity of donors, the YMCA is able to provide financial assistance to those families in need. Financial assistance will be awarded based on availability of funds and on a first come, first serve basis. An application can be obtained at the Nuuanu YMCA – Youth Department.
