It’s that time of year when we travel
back in time to a place far, far away
(Ga. Cumberland Academy) to
experience what was happening the
night Jesus was born. GCA students

Lucille on her Wedding Day
Kind and Loving
Lucy, as her granddaughter calls her,
came to live at Morning Pointe a little
over a year ago from her home in
Chattanooga, TN. Lucille was born in
Dayton, TN on April 19th, 1924 and has
had a life full of blessings. She was
married to her husband Jesse Davison
for 50 years! She was a secretary for
Tennessee Valley Authority when Jesse
asked her to type a letter for him. After
looking at his handwriting she told him
that he needed to learn how to spell. It
was true love after that. After dating
for about four years, they decided to
get married. Together they have two
sons, two grandsons and one
granddaughter. Shortly before she
had her children, she left TVA to
become a homemaker and immersed
herself in her church as a volunteer.
Lucille attended Spring City High
School in Spring City, TN and
graduated with the honors of
becoming Salutatorian. She says she
was second only by 8/10ths of a point.
She went on to get her degree from
Abel’s School of Business in Dayton,
TN.
As time passed by, she enjoyed
educating herself with good reading
materials such as The Medical
Encyclopedia, dedicating her
motherly duties to her sons and
volunteering for many organizations,
with nursing homes being her favorite.
She was also a member of the Flower
Garden Club and loved traveling and
sight-seeing.
