Do You Remember
Your First Kiss?
Betty Hobb's first kiss was when
she was in about the 6th grade.
She recalls the name of the boy
who kissed her. His name was
Jack Hobbs and he eventually
became Betty’s husband.

Residents Remember
Tis the Season of Love
Harry Hines remembers the first girl
he kissed. He was in 3rd grade
and a group of children were
playing post office. The girl that
went first in the game, Bonnie,
sent a letter to Harry. He entered
the room where she was waiting
and they looked each other in
the eye. To Harry’s innocent
question, “what do I do now?”
the girl responded with “kiss me
dummy!” At their 50th reunion
Harry entered the party with his
wife Doris and from across the
room they heard “Kiss me
dummy!" Bonnie and her
husband were at the reunion.
Every month our residents look
forward to a visit from the
preschoolers of Stepping Stones
Preschool. They sing songs and
give each resident a small
handmade gift to treasure. They
bring so much pleasure just by
visiting and sharing their smiles
and laughter. This February our
residents will be returning the
gesture through handmade
valentines and candy for the
youngsters.

Welcome
New FSD
It is my pleasure to
welcome new Food
Services Director Patty
Key to Morning Pointe.
Patty comes to us from
Hilton Hotels where she
has 23 years experience
as food and beverage
director. Patty moved to
the area to be a first time
grandmother. She is an
avid reader, enjoying
mysteries and books
about travel. She looks
forward to providing our
residents with a dining
experience that is about
more than just food. Her
goal is to make each
meal a culinary delight.
We may need to take up
additional exercise to
burn the extra calories!

The party was actually held at 2:00
p.m. After counting down the seconds
until the minute hand hit the number
12 we toasted with bubbly white grape
juice to shouts of "Happy New Year,"
and "Good Health to all."
We are older, wiser, and less tired!

New FSD!
Most Tullahoma residents waited until
12:00 p.m. central time to ring in 2015.
But we at Morning Pointe were ahead
of the game this year. We rang in the
New Year with our first annual "It's
Midnight Somewhere" Party.
Happy New Year!

56 Years of Love
Mrs. Loretta Hewgley came to live at
Morning Pointe in November of last
year. Born in Nashville, Tennessee in
1939, she grew up in the Nashville
area, attended Tennessee Tech and
worked as a court reporter for a
number of years. She also worked as a
legal secretary for Jim Conley. Loretta
was very active in the National
Federation Garden Club and for over
20 years she enjoyed judging flower
shows & traveling with a team giving
environmental education workshops.
Loretta was a founder of Manchester,
TN's popular, annual “Trees of
Christmas". She has fond memories of
visiting Cheekwood in Nashville every
year with family. Loretta continues her
love of flowers and gardening through
Morning Pointe’s monthly garden club.
Loretta met the love of her life, Mr.
Harold Hewgley at the AEDC Boat
Club in Tullahoma, where her parents
had a boat. Friendship eventually
blossomed into love. Harold courted
Loretta for about a year and then one
evening when returning her home
from a date, while sitting in the car in
front of her house he “popped the
question” and she said, “Yes!” He gets
a wistful look in his eye as he
remembers, “she was so beautiful.”
She smiles back at him as she recalls,
“It was truly love at first sight.” She
remembers falling in love with him
immediately, and looking back says
she was so grateful that she fell in love
with a “good one.” The couple were
