We will get organized, lose a few pounds, read more, try to do more for others, etc. As we venture into the second week of January, with a few resolutions already a memory, we can make a binding resolution to improve our spiritual health and fitness. There are so many ways to grow closer to our Lord; to improve our connection with Him. After all, when we are in touch with God’s plan for us, and we are trying to follow Him, the rest seems to fall into place. When we are spiritually healthy, the other business of life tends to make more sense. That doesn’t mean that we don’t have trials or problems. We just approach these problems with God’s guidance. There is a peace that comes with surrendering to Him; no matter what we are facing in our lives. Life is short: Pray hard !
