Mr. Maduneme and his SkillsUSA team need your help (and canned goods)! “CANstruction” is a state only competition where schools collect 1,000+ cans, construct a masterpiece and then donate the cans. If you would like to donate canned goods to this project, please send them (or drop them off) to the front office with Ms. Thompson or Ms. Paris. This event will help with the 140 different agencies that depend on the Food Bank of Corpus Christi and will also showcase the talent and creativity of SkillsUSA Texas members. For more information on CANstruction and to see examples of the projects please go to http://www.skillsusatx.org/wpcontent/uploads/2013/11/SkillsUSA-Community-Service-Canstruction-Competition.pdf. Mr. Maduneme would like to thank the Lakeline HEB for donating gift cards to purchase canned goods for this project. We also thank you in advance for helping us make this a success! The Cedar Park High School Environmental Science Classes and Club have received approval place a garden between the “A” building and science building. The goal is to organically garden fruit trees, vegetables, and herbs AND help butterflies by supplying areas for them to feed and lay eggs. Donations are currently being accepted. Anything that is garden oriented will be greatly appreciated! Examples are soil, compost, seeds, fruit trees, and of course, money.
