Class 1 Training Stakes – Cross Pole Class Open to all types Horses and Ponies 4 years and over. Riders any age. Lead Reins are permitted to enter this class but must not canter/gallop in their individual performance. Class 2 Training Stakes – 60cm Open to all types of Horses and Ponies 4 years and over. Riders any age. Max height of fences 60cm. Class 3 Training Stakes – 70cm Open to all types of Horses and Ponies 4 years and over. Riders any age. Max height of fences 70cm. Class 4 Training Stakes – 80cm Open to all types of Horses and Ponies 4 years and over. Riders any age. Max height of fences 80cm. TRAINING STAKES WHP CHAMPIONSHIP Open to 1st & 2nd Prizewinners in classes 1-4. Ridden Horse & Pony Section Judge Mrs J Simpson Commences approx. 12noon following WHP Section Class 5 Lead Rein Mare or Gelding 4yrs old or over not exceeding 122cm. Open to SP, SHP or M&M. Riders not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Class 6 First Ridden Mare or Gelding 4yrs old or over not exceeding 128cm. Open to SP, SHP or M&M. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Class 7 New Combinations class Mare or Gelding 4yrs old or over. Any Height. Any Type. Riders any age. Combination to be within their first 12months of partnership. Class 8 Novice Horse/Pony Ridden Mare or Gelding 4yrs old or over. Any height. Any Type. Riders any age. Class 9 Ridden Horse Mare or Gelding 4yrs old or over exceeding 153cm. Any Type. Riders Any age. Class 10 Ridden Pony Mare or Gelding 4yrs old or over not exceeding 153cm. Any Type. Riders any age Ridden Horse/Pony Championship Open to 1st & 2nd Prizewinners in classes 5-10 Show Regulations: 1. The BSPS Scottish Branch Ltd accepts no responsibility for any accident, loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause connected with the Show. It is a condition of entry that each Exhibitor shall hold the Society blameless. 2. The Board reserve the right to refuse entries from any person without reason being given for such refusal. 3. Objections shall be made in writing within thirty minutes of the event concerned and lodged with the Secretary together with the sum of £50, which shall be refunded if the objection is upheld. 4. No refund of entry money can be claimed under any circumstances. - This also includes when the show has to be cancelled due to weather conditions which are out with the control of the BSPS Scottish Branch. Please check website for up to date information on the show. Entries are also not transferable to other riders, ponies, classes or other BSPS Scotland Shows 5. Definition of a Novice: Animals not to have won three open classes where the first prize is £5 or over or have been placed 1st to 5th at the RIHS or HOYS in that particular class/section. 6. Stallions - Riders must be 12yrs old or over on 1st January in current year to ride any stallions not exceeding 138cms or small breed M & M stallions i.e. Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A & B. Riders must be 14yrs old and over on 1st January in current year to ride any stallions exceeding 138cms or large breed M & M stallions i.e. New Forest, Fells, Dales, Connemara, Highlands, Welsh Section C & D. 7. Correctly secured British Standard Skull Caps/Riding Hats No. PAS015, EN1384 (USA) ASTMF1163 that meet current Safety Standards MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted. 8. Earrings and body studs must not be worn. 9. Riders must be a suitable size for the height of pony they ride. 10. There will no farrier or vet on site for the show. 11. BSPS Membership and Registrations will be suspended immediately if cheques payable to the BSPS, Scottish Branch Ltd are not honored by the bank or if there is any money owing to the BSPS Scottish Branch Ltd. A surcharge of £10 will be charged if cheques have to be represented.
