Phenomenal Women:
A new event in 2014
phenomenal women. These
stories brought smiles and tears to
our faces. Our residents enjoyed
dressing up for tea and want this
to be an annual event at Morning
Pointe of Clinton.

Celebrates our women
One of our favorite events of this
year was the Phenomenal
Women's Tea. Robin Wilhoit from
News Channel 10 in Knoxville was
our special guest and graciously
served as our emcee. All of the
ladies of Morning Pointe of
Clinton were featured in a book
that they received as gifts. Robin
read some of the stories that
family members had shared for
inclusion in the book. Family
members were invited and asked
to dress for tea which included
wearing hats. Daughters of
several residents shared what
makes their mothers

Another one of our favorite
activities this year was dressing as
cows for Chick-fil-A day. We
decided to dress in orange,
purple and white, the colors of
Alzheimer's Tennessee to show
our support for all of the people
living with this disease. Morning
Pointe of Clinton also had a team
in the Five County Walk To End
Alzheimer's. I think that our sign
above says it all: "Move to End
Alzheimer's."
Upcoming Events
Our first Family Night of 2015 will
be held on Thursday, January
8th. Please remember that we
need you to RSVP if you are
attending so that we can
prepare.

2015
A refreshing New Year!
I feel like I am always
writing about how
quickly the time passes
and once again the year
2014 has come and
gone! January is a month
for reflection and setting
goals for the year ahead.
The following poem is my
prayer for you and your
family in 2015:
Simple joys, little
pleasures,
Laughter and smiles in
big measures,
Friends, family,
togetherness, love,
The choicest blessings
from above.
Peace, prosperity, and
happiness too,
All these and more are
my wishes for you!

Harold and Martha
Young and in love
Mrs. Martha Craft has been a resident
at the Lantern since September of
2014, and she has fit right in with
everyone. Martha was born and
raised in the foothills of North Carolina.
She is the youngest child of nine.
Martha was raised on a farm and her
family raised most of what they
needed to eat. Her brothers would go
hunting to provide the family with
meat. After high school Martha moved
to Tennessee and worked on the
Manhattan Project. She married her
high school sweetheart, Harold. During
WWII, Harold was in the Navy and the
young couple lived in Washington,
DC. Upon returning to Oak Ridge they
both worked at the plants until 1947
when Martha left to start a family.
Martha and Harold raised three
children. The Craft family has been
members of the Second Baptist
Church since 1954. Martha was very
active in the nursery for
many years. Martha had many
hobbies but her passion is gardening.
She is known for her show stopping
yard. Many times people would stop
by and photograph her yard and
beautiful flowers. Martha was also a
very good seamstress, making clothes
first for her children and then for her
granddaughters. Martha and Harold
are blessed with seven grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren who
affectionately call them "Mother" and
"Bop". Oldest granddaughter Lori has
many fond memories but one favorite
