Laura Nichols
GriefShare will be starting a new 13 week
session to help anyone who has lost a loved one get
through the grieving process. Each session consists of
watching a DVD and discussing ways we can apply
what has been said and then doing the workbook at
home during the week.
We are there to uphold each other and help
each other reach a new normal. We are excited about
using new material for this session. We will be doing 3
sessions in 2015: Session 1 January thru March,
Session 2 May thru July and Session 3 September thru November.
A workbook that costs $15 is required. For more information call (479)253-8200 or
(479)253-8925, or email [email protected]

HICC Ladies Fellowship will have their first meeting of the New Year on Monday,
January 19, 2015 at 10 AM. The speaker will be Roxie Breaux, who will be introducing
herself to the group with her testimony and vision for the Ladies Fellowship during the
coming year. Music and singing will be provided by pianist Tooley Martin and Laura
Nichols leading the group. Light refreshments will be served. Please come and bring
someone with you. Let’s make this year the best ever! For more information call Roxie
Breaux @ 337-513-9346
Fellowship Hall Closed for Cleaning
The fellowship hall will be closed for cleaning 12/22/14 thru 1/02/15. Please stay
out of the hall during this time.
Also, the chairs in Haller Hall have become very dirty and CJ could use some help
cleaning them when he puts them back out.
Ladies Fellowship in December
Linda Bartlett and Eula Jean McKee
There were eighteen ladies at our Ladies Fellowship on December 15th. They were
greeted by Tooley Martin playing beautiful Christmas songs. We welcomed our guests
and Donna Wallace gave the devotion. Tooley and Laura led us with beautiful Christmas
songs as we all sang along.
We had a very special guest; T.J. Strecker (right) who recited the Christmas story,
Luke 2:1-17 from memory. What a blessing.
We enjoyed getting to know Roxie Breaux who will be our new Ladies Fellowship
facilitator starting January 2015.
We then enjoyed our annual Christmas cookie exchange and wonderful fellowship.
We were blessed as always.
Administrative Council
Shirlene Funsch
The Administrative Council hopes you and yours had a Blessed, Joyous Christmas
Season. We wish you a Healthy, Happy New Year !
We will start the year off with our HICC annual meeting on January 11, 2015. This
meeting will follow our morning service.
The meeting will include two major items: The election of an Administrative Council
Vice-Chairperson, a Trustee Commission Chairperson and a Music Commission
Chairperson. The nominating committee is currently looking for candidates. Could you be
one?
Also the proposed 2015 budget will be presented. Cuts again have been made
where possible but we are preparing for potential maintenance events like more new
heat pumps and parking lot paving.
Bylaws proposals will be presented at a later date.
Thank you again for your support, attendance and gifts in 2014. God is Good! We
are excited to see what God will do at HICC in 2015.
Joyful Singers
Our next outreach is scheduled for Monday, January 12, 2015. We start at Green
Acres at 10:15, then Peachtree at 11:15, and Brighton Ridge at 12:15.
Come and join us. Even if you don't sing, the residents always love company.

TUESDAY LADIES BIBLE STUDY: This new ladies bible study on the Gospel of Mark is a
great opportunity for ladies to read and discuss God’s Word together. We have been
reading a selection of verses then asking ourselves what the content is, what lessons we
can learn and how we can apply it to our lives. There has been great participation and
many questions have been asked. We meet at 10 am or 1 pm each Tuesday. Just bring
your Bible. Debbie Cosens is leading this study.
TUESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY: The Way of the Master is going well. We will
complete this study in a few weeks. Pastor has shown DVD’s with examples of ways to
talk to people about their spiritual condition.
WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY: Pastor Wallace will begin a verse by verse study
in Job after the Holidays.
FRIDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY: This study is ongoing, led by either Frank Wicks or

Hebrew Anyone?
We may begin a class in Hebrew after the new year if there is enough interest.
Materials will be at the very beginning level. Learn the aleph-bet, basic conversational
skills, and eventually learn to read the Hebrew Bible in its original language, as well as a
modern Hebrew translation of the New Testament. Sign up in the back of the Sanctuary if
you are interested.
