education, office space, meeting rooms and a large gathering space/parish hall. The facility will also be available
for public use. Construction on the new addition began in
April. The cost of the project is $2.2 million and a fundraising campaign has generated over $1.1 million to date.
The Most Reverend Richard Pates, Bishop of the Des
Moines Diocese will be the special guest at the ceremony
and will be joined by Reverend Wayne Gubbels, pastor of
St. John’s parish, and Adel Mayor Pro Tem Jon McAvoy.
Following the ceremony refreshments will be served.

Looking for some stress relief while you exercise? Join
us on Saturday mornings beginning in February for Adult
Yoga. Classes will be held 9-9:45 a.m. at the Adel Public

Monday evenings, 4 p.m. at the Adel Public Library for

Master Gardener Winter Webinar Series Offered
The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach
Master Gardener program will explore how Master
Gardeners support local food systems during a winter
webinar series. The 2015 series will offer Master Gardeners
educational hours while taking a look at ways to support
school gardens, food banks, community gardens and more.
Sessions are open to the public and are scheduled for
Friday, January 23, Thursday, February 12, and Thursday,
March 19, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at ISU Extension and Outreach
office located at 28059 Fairground Road in Adel.
Winter webinar topics will cover the local food system
and ways that Master Gardeners can help by teaching in community gardens and growing produce for food banks, engaging
in school gardens and supporting systems change for health.

ADM community of Minburn. Clover Kids is the 4-H
