GENERAL RULES
1. A NZPCA approved helmet and long sleeves must be worn at all
times when mounted.
2. The committee reserves the right to alter, substitute or cancel any
class.
3. All pony riders must be under 17 years of age as of 31st July 2015.
4. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

5. The judges’ decision is final and any misconduct by a competitor may
result in disqualification.
6. Any rider committing an act of cruelty on or off a horse / pony will be
immediately disqualified from further competition.
7. No refunds will be made unless the event is cancelled or the
organising committee has a valid reason for doing so.
8. There will be a first aid levy of $5 to cover the cost of the Wellington
Free Ambulance and an Area levy of $3 per rider.
9. All protests must be made in writing within ten minutes of the final
placings being announced, together with a non-refundable fee of $20.
10. Height certificates must be produced on request.
11. Stallions must be under control of a suitable person at all times. They
are not to be left tied to trucks or floats. Stallions must be identified
with an “S” badge attached to their bridle.
12. Prize money may be adjusted on the day based on number of entries
in the class.
13. All classes are run under ESNZ rules.
14. All riders, judges, visitors and spectators enter UVPC’s Te Marua
grounds at their own risk.
15. Riders who are not members of Pony Club are very welcome but are
required by the NZPCA to sign a casual day membership form
(located on the end of this document). No entry can be accepted
unless this form is completed.
16. Please BRING YOUR OWN WATER for horses and ensure all poo
and hay are removed from grounds.
