Thank you for your hard work during the holiday retail
season. The holidays are an especially important time
for sales, and retailers have done well. Sales for October,
November and December 2014 totaled more than $745
million, with sales up 6.9 percent compared to the same time the prior year.
Total sales of $270.3 million in December were the highest December on record.
Instants were the big driver with sales up $19 million in December, compared to
the same month last year. We’re glad to see these strong sales and hope they are
a positive indicator for your overall business.

is now complete. As a customer courtesy, you may want to download and
print the New Year’s Raffle poster located on our website. In all, we had four,

and Zanesville -- outside the big metropolitan areas across the state. Winners are

It’s a game with a lot of value for you. Each ticket you sell earns you a $1.65
commission. So, sell the game's key features – stocked with a lot of great midlevel prizes, 26 top prizes of $1 million or more and overall odds of 1 in 2.75.
This fall, we added a pay voucher to our MP-based vending machines. This
feature allows customers to get a voucher containing the credit and cash they
have on these machines. The pay voucher can be cashed at any Lottery retailer
location -- so, it's important to all retailers. To help, we’ve provided more detail
on how to cash, as we’ve heard some concerns with correctly cashing and getting
credit for cashing in the field. Take a look at the information provided and contact
your regional office or sales representative if you’d like more one-on-one attention
to this.
We have another treat planned to encourage traffic in your store or business
location -- a buy one, get one free coupon offer for our Cash Explosion® instant

Have you seen a pay voucher? If you don’t have an MP or MPNG
vending machine, you might not be familiar with this ticket, but you
should be. Pay vouchers can be cashed at any retailer location –
even if you don’t have an MP-style vending machine.

“They always say 'yes' when I ask to promote Lottery in their business.
They always have new games activated as soon as received and they
ask for the sale with customers," says Lottery sales representative Scott
Pollick. Mohamed Mobarak is the store owner. The store front display
was updated with the help of Mark Dennewitz and Kevin Cattran of the
Columbus regional office.
Just Smokes #2 Discount Tobacco Products, Springfield
“This agent is in a small shopping center on a very busy road,” says sales
representative Jim Dooley. “By using the outside POS, they have drawn
attention to their part of the shopping center. By placing the winner signs in the
window, both front and back, it gives the potential Lottery player a quick look
at recent large winners. Once inside Liz, the store manager, and employees
Shannon, Gina and Heather are very friendly and informed. They know a lot
of their customers on a first-name basis and know a lot of them on a personal
level.” The store is owned by Wendy and Kevin Gary.
Hyde’s Carryout, Columbus
“Assad Musa is a young, energetic operator, who focuses most of his traffic on
Lottery sales. He cares greatly about his Lottery sales and we work together
well," says Lottery sales representative Scott Pollick. “His customer service
sets him apart.”
With the OH! Lottery border and minimal extra signage, the front window
closest to the entrance at Hyde’s Carryout is a stand out. Assad enjoyed the
front entrance makeover with the help of Mark Dennewitz and Kevin Cattran

A.Frosty Fun winner • December 2014
Ivan Brunfield, Jr. of Crown City asked a clerk at the
Marathon Food Center #275 in Little Hocking if she had any
tickets that would pay $25,000 a year for life. She laughed
and said unfortunately she did not. While there, Ivan decided
to purchase a $2 Frosty Fun instant game. While he didn’t
get $25,000 for life, he got $25,000 for the day. He and
his wife Patricia made a happy visit to the Athens regional
office.
B. Pick 5 winner • Dec. 16, 2014
Tamara Foster of Cincinnati is all smiles after winning
$25,417 playing the Dec. 16 evening Pick 5 drawing. She
made her claim at the Lottery’s Cincinnati regional office.

Cody Snider of Logan won $2,500 playing the Lottery’s $10
game, Instant Millions. Cody’s working two jobs to make
it on his own and his car broke down the week he made
his claim. This win is going to help him replace his car. He
says the timing could not have been better! He purchased
his winning ticket from Town & Country Drive Thru in The
Plains.

Charles Newlun of Nelsonville says “If I can win, anyone
can.” He won $1,000 playing $5 Funky 5’s. Charles made
