PADSTOW HEIGHTS PUBLIC SCHOOL NEWSLETTER Phone: 9773 9340 Volume 20 Issue 2 Fax: 9792 3961 Tuesday 3rd February, 2015 Email: [email protected] Website: padstowhts-p.schools.nsw.edu.au From the Principal The children have settled very well into their new classes. Kindergarten students are off to a flying start with very few tears and plenty of eagerness to learn. We have 404 students. The drop in numbers is only apparent in Kindergarten. Last year we had 60 students and this year we have 48. Numbers in Years 1 to 6 have stayed the same or grown a little . The first P & C meeting for the year will be held this Wednesday evening starting at 7:30pm. We meet in the staffroom. Come along and join us. Newsletter From next week a black & white hard copy of the newsletter will only go home to those who have requested it in writing to the office. Please put your child’s name and class on the note. Juliet (3V )had a very successful January as well. Children will now only be identified by their first name and class in the newsletter. We are mindful of our students “electronic footprints”. “I went to Queensland to compete in the National; Dance Championships. There were 4 000 dancers competing. I was in the Petite section. I got 3rd for my jazz dance Jump and 2nd for my lyrical Hang with Me. I got in the Top 10 coming 9th overall. I was so happy and my family were very proud of me.” Sport clubs Well done Juliet.
