I wanted to take this opportunity to make you aware that we have received a few
requests from a number of news reporters regarding the number of students in our
district that have been vaccinated for the measles. As you probably have heard in
the news, there is a heighten awareness at this point due to an outbreak in certain
parts of the country and a number of recent cases in Illinois. Under the direction of
our Board attorney, we provided the reporters with the information in accordance
with HIPAA laws.
After seeing what has been published in the newspaper, I want to confirm that the
information that was published is outdated inaccurate information from last school
year.

As an administrative team, we continue to problem-solve with each building
administrator in regards to procedures in the office of our Health Services
Coordinators. Please feel free to contact any of the building or district
administrators with questions and/or concerns.
I can assure all parents and
community members that we all maintain the students’ best interest in mind when
