Southern Peninsula Basketball Association Lady Sharks -‐ Big V State Team Preview With the 2015 Big V season only weeks away, the Southern Peninsula BA would like to officially introduce and welcome the 2015 State Champ Lady Sharks roster. The off-‐season has been extremely busy for the Lady Sharks, with the appointment of Gerard Hillier as Head Coach and the move up to State Champ, there has been no time for resting. 2015 State Champ Women’s Roster: Chevannah Paalvast, Jamilee Pearce, Mikaela Dickson, Ella Hellessey, Georgia Cox, Eliza West, Tia Hay, Grace McRae, Jaz Shelley, Shaye Williams, Courtney Middap, Taylah Gilliam (dev. player), Emilie Baird (dev. player), Abbey Noblett (dev. player), and Claudia Balfour (dev. player). “With the move up to State Champ it was paramount to add some additional strength and experience to our roster, I believe we have recruited well and the new players have blended in straight away. It is also fantastic to see so many Southern Pen juniors suiting up in our senior program, and being able to learn from the newly recruited players is very pleasing from a development point of view” Said Hillier, and “The squad has progressed a lot quicker than I thought they would this early on, we are playing an exciting brand of basketball that all the players have bought in to with ease. I am really looking forward to an exciting season ahead, and continuing to help build and develop our program,” added Hillier.
