Projectors have an average life span of approximately 3 years, once the
manufacturer's warranty has expired repair is o:en more expensive

How to extend your lamp life
Never touch the bulb with your ﬁngers, always use a cloth for handling. Fingerprints can cause
temperature “hot spots”
Clean the air ﬁlters, blocked ﬁlters make the lamp overheat and fail early.
Always switch oﬀ using the remote control and not by disconnec4ng the power.
Always make sure the unit is turned oﬀ and the lamp is cool before moving, a hot lamp ﬁlament
is fragile and shock and vibra4on can cause lamp failure
If your projector is equipped with a “high/low lamp” switch, you can extend your average lamp
life by using the “low lamp” posi4on wherever possible.

Technicians Remote Access Support SLA (Primary School Only)
As many schools now have a ﬁle server we have had lots of enquiries to provide a remote access support
SLA for everyday troubleshoo.ng and maintenance of a schools ICT system. Remote access enables all
sorts of issues, policy's, adjustments, user management and maintenance to be resolved /carried out within minutes when normally you would have to wait for a technician to visit and complete these tasks.
The 20 support incident package is included in our annual technicians service SLA but if you do not require
on-site visits or have a technician already that would beneﬁt from a helping hand then this is the SLA for
you.
Microso: Licensing
The recent changes to Microso: School Licensing has
made licensing much simpler, and we have seen signiﬁcant reduc4on in many schools IT spend.
One of the most cost eﬀec.ve ways to licence MicrosoU products in a school is with an Open
Value Subscrip.on—Educa.on Solu.on (OVS-ES). Instead of the licensing by desktop count,
the OVS-ES counts your Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees. This is anyone working over
